Sound familiar?

The bits no one warns you about

Most creators don’t realise how much HMRC expects until a tax bill lands — and a generalist accountant rarely understands brand deals, gifting or platform payouts.

The result is creators overpaying through missed expenses, or under-declaring (gifted products are often taxable) and risking a nasty surprise from HMRC.

  • Income from several platforms and brands at once
  • Gifted products and PR that can be taxable
  • Not knowing which creator expenses you can claim
  • Irregular, multi-currency payouts to track
  • Unsure whether to be a sole trader or a company
  • A general accountant who doesn’t get the creator economy
How we help

Everything handled, under one roof

Earning as a creator looks nothing like a normal salary: sponsorships, affiliate income, ad revenue, gifted products and payouts from several platforms — often in different currencies, rarely on a tidy schedule.

We’re accountants for influencers and content creators. We pull your income together, claim the expenses you’re entitled to, handle the bits creators forget (like gifted items), and keep you compliant with HMRC.

Still deciding?

The honest answers to what you’re thinking

How much does an accountant for creators cost?

We agree a fixed monthly fee based on your income and how complex it is. For most creators it’s modest, and the expenses we claim and mistakes we prevent usually outweigh it.

Do I really have to pay tax on gifted products?

Often, yes — gifted items received in return for content can count as taxable income at their value. It catches a lot of creators out, which is exactly why we handle it properly for you.

Should I be a sole trader or a limited company?

It depends on how much you earn and your plans. A company can save tax above a certain level but adds admin. We’ll model both and advise what’s right for you.

My income is all over the place — can you handle that?

Yes. Multiple platforms, brands, currencies and irregular payouts are exactly what we’re set up for.

FAQ

Creators & influencers: your questions answered

Do influencers and content creators need an accountant?
Once you’re earning beyond a small amount, yes — creator income is genuinely complex (brand deals, gifting, multiple platforms), and a specialist usually saves more in tax and avoided mistakes than they cost.
Do I pay tax on free products I’m gifted?
Frequently, yes. If you receive products in exchange for promotion, HMRC can treat their value as taxable income. We make sure gifting is handled correctly so you stay compliant.
What expenses can a content creator claim?
It depends on your work, but often equipment, software and subscriptions, a proportion of home costs, travel, props and certain other costs of creating content. We review your situation to claim everything you’re entitled to.
How much does a creator accountant cost?
We charge a fixed monthly fee tailored to your income and complexity, quoted up front so there are no surprises.
Do you work with creators across the UK?
Yes — we’re fully online and work with creators throughout the UK, with a named accountant for each client.
